The Sultanate of Oman is a tiny country in the Middle East that, for the most part, nobody has heard of. From stunning, secluded beaches and adventurous off-roading to busy souks and fertile remote valleys, a trip to Oman will provide calming respite from everyday life.

Day 1 - Arrival & transfer to the camp

- Arrival at Muscat Airport and transfer to your camp in Wadi Mistal. Wadi Mistal opens up into what is known as Ghubrah Bowl, where the mountain views are spectacular.
- Visit the mountain village of Wakan and see the life of the Jebalis (mountain people) and how they live in these remote locations.
- Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 2 - Wadi Bani Awf & Nizwa

- After waking up to a fantastic sunrise and spectacular views, you will have breakfast and prepare for an off- road experience through one of Oman’s best loved wadi systems: Wadi Bani Awf.
- Hike through the “Gorgette”, a narrow gorge which leads to the village of Bilad Seet.
- After visiting the village, we will set off on our journey up and over Sharaf al Alamayn.
- We will visit the recently opened Al Hooti Cave system.
- After our visit, we will continue the journey to Nizwa, the old Capital of Oman, for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - Nizwa & the Desert

- Visit Nizwa fort and the Souk. The fort has a wealth of interesting artifacts, a museum, plenty of places to explore and fantastic views across the Wilayat of Nizwa.
- The group will have free time to explore the area and buy souvenirs.
- Lunch in Nizwa, before the next drive into the interior.
- Our destination is the Wahiba Sands and our desert camp for the night.
The drive will take about 3 hours, but well worth the journey once greated by the red sands of the Wahiba.
The drive through the desert will take approximately 1 hour in our 4x4 vehicles to our camp, hidden away in the high dunes of the desert.
- Your camp is a welcomed sight and there will be time to explore the dunes and even go for a swim before dinner.

Day 4 - Bedouin community & Turtle Beach

- You can wake up early for the sun rise, which as to be one thing that should be done when camping in the desert.
- After some relaxing time and breakfast, we will head off to the house of a local Bedouin to meet his family, have coffee and dates and soak up the life of the Bedouin people.
- Take to the road again, drive to Ras al Jinz and check into the Turtle Beach Resort.
- Visit the Turtle Conservation Centre and the turtle nesting beach under the careful supervision of your guide.

Day 5 - Muscat

- Travel back toward Muscat. - En-route we will stop off for a visit to Wadi Shab. This interesting walk takes approximately an hour to reach the pools and cave, where it is possible to have a swim and explore the cave by water.
- Reach Muscat and visit the old Souk in the port town of Muttrah.
- Tonight is a camp high up in the cool climes of this plateau.
- Dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 6 - Gulf of Oman & Departure

- We will start with a boat trip out into the Gulf of Oman, where it is hoped we can do some dolphin watching and snorkelling.
