Day 1 - Arrival

- Arrive at Kansai International Airport (KIX) and take the Haruka express train to Osaka Station.

- Check in your hotel in Osaka.Explore the vibrant Dotonbori district, known for its neon lights, and visit Kuromon Ichiba Market.

 

Day 2 – Exploring Osaka

- Visit Osaka Castle, a reconstructed 16th-century castle that is a symbol of the city.

- Take a stroll through the lively Nishiki Market, a traditional food market with over 200 stalls.

- Visit famous Mozu tombs, UNESCO site.

- Experience the unique Osaka culture by attending a performance of Bunraku, a traditional puppet theater.

- Dinner nearby and return to your Hotel.

 

Day 3 - Cycling in Kyoto

- Today, we’re going on a biking adventure in Kyoto. Imagine cycling past the famous Kinkaku-ji temple, also known as the Golden Pavilion.

- Cruise through the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest, a magical place filled with towering bamboo stalks

- Bicycle tours allow us to escape the crowds and discover hidden gems.

 

Day 4 – Nara Temples and Shopping

- Visit Tōdai-ji – Buddhist Temple housing the colossal Great Buddha surrounded by serene gardens.

- Visit Horyu-ji – world's oldest wooden building.

- Shopping in vibrant Tenjinbashi-suji Shopping Street.

- Learn how to make sushi and dinner

 

Day 5 - Hiking and Night walking in Mt. Koya

- Check out and take a scenic train ride to Koyasan, a sacred mountain retreat in the Wakayama Prefecture.

- Hike through the serene cedar forests of Koyasan and visit the Okuno-in Cemetery for a night walk in the largest Buddhist cemetery of Japan, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

- To Immerse yourself in the traditional culture of Koyasan by visiting a Buddhist temple Kongobuji.

- Dinner and overnight in the temple.

 

Day 6 – Kumano Kodo trekking

- Trek the Kumano Kodo, an ancient pilgrimage route to sacred shrines offering a profound journey of self-discovery and connection with nature.

- Explore in Nachi Taisha Grand Shrine, including Japan's tallest waterfall, Nachi Falls, symbolizing the shrine's deity.

- Enjoy Shojin Ryori this Buddhist meal.

 

Day 7 - Adventure Geo Cruising

- Take a cruising tour that explores the geology, strata, rocks, history, culture, and ecosystems of the Coast, recognized as a Japanese Geopark, on foot and from the sea aboard a fishing boat.

- Enjoy a river canoeing experience, offering a placid and picturesque view of the region's lush landscapes and an adventurous yet peaceful experience amidst nature.

- Return to Wakayama and gala dinner.

 

Day 8 - Departure

- Check out of your hotel and head to Kansai International Airport (KIX) for your departure flight.
